Yesterday we showered my future sister in law, Tabitha, and baby Wyatt at my parents house in Bell Buckle, TN. Everything was so beautiful and the turn out was even more than expected - given the recent weather in Middle TN.

This woman right here put it all together. That's my momma, can't you tell? This is her, in her natural form after hosting a successful baby shower. I was really upset with mom right before the shower because she was doing it all on her own. I didn't realize how upset I would be not helping till, well... I didn't. She did it all because she thought I was "too busy". Remember in my last post how my friend Jo Anna said "busy can be negative" ? Well, there it is in it's prime. I wasn't too busy - and I really hate she thought that. But sometimes the attitude I give her is a so strong, really it's too strong and in this moment, mom did something she had never done before. She walked away from me and did the damn thing (Go mom, even if I was sad)!

How beautiful is that above?! I was so afraid the party wouldn't look pinterest'esq. Not because mom isn't capable, but because I'm a control freak and I knew where everything was that she would need. She didn't need me, but I did make the pretzels, they were a hit :-P
And then there's this beut....

My dad made that cake stand! He is so much more gifted than he gives himself credit for. This is the second cake stand he made... The first one would make an amazing wedding cake stand. Cake&Cupcakes by Publix!

All in all, Mom turned it out. I think she even surprised herself, she definitively surprised me. ( I think you did amazing, momma!) Everything was beautiful, everyone showed up, Tabitha was given love and baby Wyatt is all set with all things baby. I still can't believe I'm gonna be an aunt!... My baby brother is having a baby... when it hits me I'll let you know.

Thanks so everyone who came out yesterday and thank you to my momma who loves me and chooses to like me in adulthood. I wouldn't trade your for the world. <3

I am so excited and full from the overwhelming support I've received from friends, family, clients and strangers! I told Dave last night I really want to take this year, as I know it's going to be very full, and embrace everything. Unlike last year where I was busy - this year I'm full. I learned this today from a new friend, Joanna, while we met with a bride over coffee. I told her how busy I am and how I want to embrace it and she so calmly replied "...busy can sound so negative - be full. It can help to keep you positive". I'm not sure if it was the confidence, her soft voice or the word "full" that I loved most - but, it made me happy and it made sense, so this year I will be full and I will embrace it.... as best possible. Goals,baby, goals! :P

In the next few posts you will see a list of mini sessions I plan to create over the next few months. The session investment will be $235 for families with 3 members or less - there is a small add on to both investment & time for families of larger quantities. (after booking we can discuss payment options and if a full session might be of better interest). In the posts ahead you will see a number next to the month {I.E. March (10)} this number represents the number of sessions I can fit into one day with the time allowed from the sun. If I exceed this number with requests (crossing my fingers)- a second date will open up. I've not made time lines nor picked exact dates for these sessions. FAQ : When booking your session know there will be patience, love and laughter. With every session I take my time with and all is enjoyed. I know 15 minutes seems like a such a short amount of time but, you'll be surprised the moments captured. I direct my clients in the direction I feel compliments them best and the rest just happens. Cancelations must happen within a week (7 days) of your session date in order to receive a portion back. $35 of the $235 is a booking deposit, if you are to book, then cancel and never re-book, within a week of your session you will receive $200 back. There will be a digital download available for you. If you would like a hard copy, too (I.E. a CD disk), there will be a $20 additional charge. All sessions will come with a print release, but with your digital download you will have the opportunity to order prints from my printer, who matches my computer and insures the quality and color are that of which I have provided. I highly recommended PRINTING your pictures, I highly recommend using a professional printer (not walgreens.....) If the weather were to act crazy as it sometimes does in the South, there will be a reschedule for the next available date ASAP. I think I've covered most of my FAQ. MINI'S

February (10) Valentine at the cottage. This little sweet spot in the south has amazing light, with a crisp clean airy flow to it. I love shooting here!

March (10) Easter chicks! My friend Kate has opened her farm up to us! She has hens, but they've stopped producing eggs like they use to, she needs some new chicks - literally! SO for the first time ever, we will be chasing tail feathers! I'm so excited!(No animals will be harmed during these sessions).

April (10) Mothers day mini's - It's moms turn! Too often we are behind the camera - it's time to get in front of it and love on those babes!

May (5) Carousel!! Let's be magical at Bridge Street early one morning in May!

June (5) Grandparents + Ice cream- this session will be offered in Bell Buckle, TN and will be a two day event at the cutest ice cream shop you've ever seen!

ALSO in June (10) Fathers Day - literally, I don't think I've ever seen a photo of a man loving on his babies that I didn't melt over.

July (3) Sparklers and Sunsets! I'm limiting this one because I'm not sure how much light can go without and I would rather be safe! I would love to host this session more than once!
